Conference on Early Childhood Intervention closes successfully

We closed our conference on Early Childhood Intervention successfully — an important step toward strengthening the policies and practices that support children’s development in the first years of life.
Fatma Spahiu, Executive Director of QSHINJNV, noted that the conference brings together policymakers and decision-makers from public and non-public institutions working on disability, each within their own field and remit, to share and discuss the main conclusions and recommendations drawn from best practice in Bulgaria.
As Ivaylo Kirov, Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Albania, observed, a conference devoted to developing early childhood intervention in Albania is not merely the administrative close of an activity. It is a symbol of the bridge being built between our two peoples through care for the most vulnerable — children with special needs.
Elbasan Municipality shared its vision of a society that is more inclusive and more supportive of children with special needs. Deputy Mayor Klaudia Krasnika said she was convinced that early intervention is what gives these children more opportunity to grow, to learn, to socialise, and to take a full part in community life.
Speaking in her capacity as Deputy Chair of the Committee on Legal Affairs and Public Administration, MP Evis Kushi stressed that we must work together toward a fairer and more inclusive society, with respect, equality, and opportunity for all.
Ermira Urupi, Chair of the Elbasan Regional Council, called for more action toward a society that guarantees dignity, inclusion, and equal opportunity for every child and every family.
